Introduction #
For cascade solutions, where inverters are connected in a Master–Slave configuration, settings must be adjusted depending on what data Qilowatt reads and whether the system is connected only to the Master inverter or also to the Slave inverters.
Below is an example of Deye inverter settings. Other manufacturers may have small differences that require testing.

Prerequisites #
• Qilowatt account created → Create user account
• Inverters added to Qilowatt app → Module setup
• Inverters connected in Master–Slave configuration according to manufacturer’s manual

Master–Slave settings #
Settings | Qilowatt is connected to only Master |
Qilowatt is connected to Master and all Slaves |
---|---|---|
Inverter Max Power | Master max power | Total power of plant |
Max Export Limit | Export Limit per inverter | Total Export limit of plant |
Peak Shaving | Import limit per inverter | Import limit per inverter |
Battery Capacity | Battery capacity per inverter | Battery capacity of plant |
Battery Max Charge Current | Charge current per inverter | Charge current per inverter |
Battery Max Discharge Current | Discharge current per inverter | Discharge current per inverter |
Result #
Inverters operate in a Master–Slave configuration. Qilowatt applies the settings depending on whether it is connected only to the Master or to both the Master and all Slave inverters.
If it Doesn’t Work #
• Check that all inverters are properly connected in Master–Slave mode.
• Make sure inverter firmware is updated.
• If the problem persists, contact the Qilowatt support team: support@qilowatt.eu
