Based on this forecast, electricity is bought or sold on the Nord Pool market. <br><br>When a customer participates in the Flexibility Market, their battery or other device follows <strong>Elering\u2019s frequency regulation signal<\/strong>, meaning it consumes or produces exactly what the system requires \u2014 not what the balance provider predicted.<br><br>This creates a deviation from the forecast, called imbalance energy. The balance provider must later buy or sell this energy on the balancing market.
