The Optimizer uses different control logics to decide how to manage the battery and solar energy usage. Choosing the right logic directly impacts profitability and energy efficiency. <\/div>\n\n\n\n

Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u2022\u00a0Device connected to WiFi \u2192 Connecting a Device to WiFi<\/a>
\u2022\u00a0Inverter added to the Qilowatt app \u2192 Module Setup<\/a>
\u2022\u00a0Solar inverter configured \u2192 Solar Inverter Setup<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step-by-step Guide<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Maximum Profit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Purpose: use the battery primarily for generating revenue.
\u2022 The system automatically finds the best times to charge and discharge the battery.
\u2022 Higher-value solar energy is sold directly to the grid.
\u2022 Only the required amount of energy is stored for later sales or self-consumption.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

2. Self-consumption<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 PV production is stored in the battery exclusively for local use.
\u2022 Energy is only sold from the battery to the grid when prices are very high.
\u2022 If the user has no agreement to sell energy to the grid, this logic must be used.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

3. Custom<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Allows manual adjustment of parameters and control logic.
\u2022 Before making changes, we recommend clarifying how a particular parameter affects the system \u2192 Custom Control Logic Adjustable Parameters<\/a>
\u2022 A working configuration can always be restored by selecting Maximum Profit<\/em> or Self-consumption<\/em>.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

4. Note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
While Self-consumption logic is available, we recommend using Maximum Profit<\/em>. Battery technology is becoming cheaper every year, and in about 10 years, current batteries will be obsolete. New batteries will cost the same (or less) but have 2\u20133 times higher capacity. <\/div>\n\n\n\n
